Synaptic Crowd
"Vox Pop Experiments" consists of a series of performative
investigations of the vox populi interview format using a collaborative tool
that integrates browser and mobile interfaces along with face-to-face interaction
by enabling distributed groups to conduct live interviews collaboratively
through the phone of a remote camera operator.
I built and designed a Flash front end with actionscript, live streaming, chat and voting system,
javascript, PHP and an underlying MySQL database. A Voice-XML enabled server allows an on the
street interviewer to use a cell phone to hear which questions the participants on the website chose.
